Whitacre spinal needle, pencil point with transparent hub and stylet.
The connector is non-Luer type to meet the ISO 80369-6 standard called NRFit™. The range of devices presenting the connection NRFit™ has the Neurafit™ commercial name. This range presents a NRFit™ type connection compliant with the ISO-80369-6 standard. These needles cannot be connected to devices intended for other applications.
The stylet base is color-coded with a standard color code corresponding to the outer diameter of the needle.
The needle hub is made of transparent plastic to visualize cerebrospinal fluid reflux, and is ergonomically designed for easy handling.
The stylet is tightly adjusted to the needle lumen. It is equipped with a lug indicating the orientation of the lateral orifice; it is perfectly adapted to the bevel of the needle (avoids the risks of coring and tissue damage, reducing the risk of infection). It is easily repositioned in the needle in case of failure of the dural puncture and is perfectly adjusted to reduce tissue trauma, and consequently, headaches.
